Region’s “one-stop-shop” for businesses providing more services with new Facebook Page.
THE region’s “one-stop-shop” for businesses is providing more services after creating a new Facebook Page where employers can recruit workers.
Set up last week, the Tairawhiti Business Hub Facebook page is intended as an extension of the support offered by the Hub, Activate Tairawhiti marketing and communications manager Suzanne Winterflood said.
“This is where we’ll be posting a mix of news and events from everyone located in the Hub — Activate Tairawhiti, Regional Business Partners, New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, Callaghan Innovation, Business Mentors and the Gisborne Chamber of Commerce (who also have their own dedicated FB page for members).”
The page is being used to issue invitations to events including training, workshops, and guest speakers. It also provides information on the types of support available at the hub for start-ups and established businesses.
Ms Winterflood said job vacancies will also be posted on the page.
“Any businesses looking for staff can email details to Suzanne@activatetairawhiti.co.nz and I’ll post the job vacancy on our FB page.
“If businesses are running events of their own and want to promote them to the business community, let us know and we’ll share them on the Tairawhiti Business Hub FB page.
“We’ll also post other business-related news from around the region and further afield. We encourage business people to like the page so they have another way to stay informed about relevant business news, support, events and opportunities.”
